MUC-Connect: Lagoon

Join the Museum of Uintah County for MUC-Connect! Each month, we will have the opportunity to meet with Archaeologists, historians, museum professionals, and other experts! 

Lagoon: History and Preservation of the Park.

A summertime classic, Lagoon Amusement Park has existed in some iteration since 1886 making it the oldest park West of the Mississippi! Come learn more about the interesting history of the park and the rides that make it so iconic.

Gabriella Salazar is an archaeologist and roller coaster enthusiast based in Vernal, UT. Originally Hailing from Sioux Falls, SD, Gabriella got her degree in Anthropology in 2022 and has continued to move west to pursue her interests in archaeology. Outside of her job in the Uinta Basin, you can catch her camping throughout the intermountain west, probably looking for insects.
