Virtual Family Christmas Tree Decorating Contest

Trees can be entered into 1 of 3 categories; Traditional, Themed, or Crafted.

To enter just submit a picture of your family's decorated Christmas tree and which category you would like to enter to the Uintah County Library Facebook page or to jyoung@uintah.utah.gov by Dec. 12th. Voting will start online on Dec. 14th via Facebook and end Dec. 18th.

One tree from each category will be chosen and will win a family board game.

Tree Category Definitions

Traditional: Traditional trees are decorated in typical Christmas colors with no real theme or concept attached to them. Just the normal things you look for in a Christmas tree.

Themed: Themed trees are decorated with a specific concept in mind. (i.e. Disney, Star Wars, Sports Teams, T.V, Movies, etc.) If you chose to do a themed tree, please label the theme on your picture.

Crafted: Crafted trees are decorated with 80% homemade or crafted decorations and ornaments. (i.e. hand painted ornaments, popcorn garland, handprints, pictures, etc.) Basically decorations that you have crafted not bought. Materials or ornaments that you buy and then paint or craft into something else count as crafted.

Rules:

  1. Only one tree per household can be submitted.
  2. You must submit your pictures via email to jyoung@uintah.utah.gov or through the Uintah County Library Facebook page with your contact information and the category you’re entering by midnight on Dec. 12th.

  4. Trees that are entered CANNOT be trees that have been decorated for or received from Trees for Charity.
  5. All pictures should be of recent trees decorated this year for Christmas.
