Reserve your spot in the Inaugural Uintah County Writing Competition!

Format: Short story (2-5k words)

Theme: TBA

Ages: Tween (8-12) Teen (13-17) Adult (18 and up)

By reserving a seat, you agree to the following rules:

  • The purpose of the competition is to allow participants a fun way to express their creativity in the written word.
  • Submitted work must be on the theme provided. The Theme will be announced March 1 for those who have registered for the competition
  • The competition will run from March 1st through March 31st.
    • Final entries must be turned in before midnight of March 31st.
    • Final entries should be in PDF format.
  • Judgement will be conducted in a double-blind manner.
  • Rules are subject to change with notification.
  • Dedicated writing time will be provided at the library.
    • Monday nights in March 7-8:30 
    • Attendance is encouraged but not required.
  • (Adults are exempt) A parent or guardian must approve your participation.
